Principal/Teacher – Clarence Marshall

Clarence Marshall is a singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, performer and music producer who has been working in the theatre and music industry for the past 30 years.

He works as an educator and trainer in the areas of Music, Drama and Dance. Clarence has also been teaching modern vocal (including VCE Contemporary Vocal) for the past 28 years. He has worked at the Ministry of Dance teaching vocal and acting and is currently Arts Leader at Catholic Regional College in St Albans; where he is teaching Classroom Music and is Choral Director. He is also Principal of Marshall’s Academy of Modern Vocal.

Clarence studied classical vocal from a young age and then moved onto modern vocal with Rhonda Carfi from the age of 16. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and Diploma in Secondary Teaching at the Australian Catholic University. Clarence has also had the privilege of developing curriculum for Music, Drama and Dance and has been an adjudicator for Vocal and Dance Eisteddfods on many occasions. He recently completed a Performance Diploma and Fellowship with ANCZA and graduated both, with honours.

Clarence’s dedication to the arts has seen him performing in, writing and directing numerous amateur and professional theatre productions and recording and performing in bands and as a solo artist. He has worked with Australian Producers, Michael Zammit and Danny Godoy. He has also co-written and produced music for Australian artists, Sarah Delia and James Elmer.

Clarence has independently released two studio albums that he also co-produced. The first album, “The Real Me” is a collection of original songs that take you on a journey of his life. The second album, “In and Out of Love” is also a collection of original songs that tell stories of falling in and out of love.

In 2015, Clarence returned to the professional stage playing the lead role of Kevin Rosario in the Australian Premier of the musical “In the Heights”.

In 2016, Clarence’s song ‘My Love Goes On’ was a finalist is the Best of Pop Song Category at the Independent Music Awards.

Clarence continues to live out his musical dreams and truly hopes to inspire others through his music and teaching.

Ashleigh Marshall

Ashleigh is a singer, actor and performer who has been working in the entertainment industry since the age of 12. She has professional experience in both, stage and screen. Ashleigh has appeared on the television shows, Young Talent Time Revival, The Voice (Season 6), Jack Irish, Why You Like This? and Mustangs FC (ABC Me). She has performed on a variety of stages in Australia and America, including performing at the Chicago Thanksgiving Parade. Ashleigh has completed her Performance Diploma in Singing with ANZCA in 2018 (with honours). Ashleigh hopes to inspire other singers to be their best and enjoys working with students of all ages. Ashleigh has been working for MAMV for the past 3 years.

Darianna Nuez

Darianna is a singer and actor whose passion for music began at a very young age. Darianna has formally trained in modern vocal since the age of 10. In year 10, she was greatly influenced and encouraged by her teacher, Clarence Marshall who encouraged her to partake in her first ANZCA singing examination. She officially joined Marshall’s Academy of Modern Vocal the following year and has now worked with Clarence Marshall for seven years. From Grade 4 to Performance Diploma, Darianna has managed to achieve First Class Honours in all of her exams in the Modern Vocal stream. Darianna has also completed a Diploma of Music at Collarts and hopes to encourage a new generation of amazing singers through her teaching.

Olivia Barisic

Olivia has always loved singing, and has a huge passion for music and the arts that continues to grow. Olivia joined the school choir in year seven, and doing so has allowed her to develop her love for singing further, as well as her singing ability. Olivia’s Favourite genres of Music are Musical Theatre, Jazz, Blues and Classic Rock, She joined MAMV 4 years ago and continues to develop her vocal skills and abilities. Olivia is currently studying her Diploma in Screen and Media (Specialist Make Up Services) and will complete her Performance Diploma in singing, this year. Olivia loves working with other singers to develop their true potential.

PAYMENTS ARE MADE EVERY 5 LESSONS:
  • $40.00 per 30 minute lesson. Total $200.00/5 weeks
  • If you miss a lesson, you will still be charged, however, we do offer make-up lessons.
