YAMAHA NP-35 PIAGGERO PIANO STYLE KEYBOARD NP35B

Description

The Yamaha NP-35 Piaggero is the larger sibling in the Piaggero series, expanding the minimalist piano-focused design into a 76-key format. It retains the philosophy of offering high-quality acoustic piano tones in an ultra-lightweight chassis, avoiding the clutter of arranger workstations.

Positioned as a portable solution for semi-serious piano playing, its primary real-world application is for gigging keyboardists, choir accompanists, and adult learners who require a wider octave range for classical and two-handed contemporary repertoire, but physically cannot transport a heavy 88-key weighted digital piano.

Who Is This For?:

This instrument is designed for intermediate piano players, vocal coaches, and gigging musicians who require a portable 76-key range and a high-quality grand piano tone. It is ideal for those who need to play expansive repertoire but prioritize extreme portability and battery power over a fully weighted hammer action.

Key Features:

Graded Soft Touch Action

Unlike the 61-key version, the NP-35 features Yamaha’s Graded Soft Touch keyboard. While still a lightweight, unweighted action, the keys in the bass register have a slightly heavier resistance than the keys in the treble register. This provides a subtle mechanical nod to acoustic pianos, offering a more expressive physical feel without adding overall weight to the instrument.

Expanded 76-Key Range

The inclusion of 76 box-style keys provides over six octaves of range. This is a critical threshold for piano players, as it allows for the performance of the vast majority of pop, jazz, and classical repertoire without the player “running out of keys” at the top or bottom of the instrument, a common frustration on 61-key models.

Resonant CFIIIS Grand Tone & Amplification

Powered by the AWM Stereo Sampling engine, the NP-35 delivers the precise, bright tone of a Yamaha CFIIIS concert grand. To support the extended bass range of the 76 keys, this model features a slightly upgraded physical speaker enclosure (compared to smaller models), ensuring that the low-end frequencies resonate with clarity and warmth in small acoustic environments.
