Description
The Yamaha Revstar RSS02T arms serious players with an incredibly dynamic, touch-sensitive palette fueled by its custom-wound VP5 P90-style single-coil pickups. This guitar provides a uniquely aggressive yet articulate growl that cleans up flawlessly the moment you ease your right-hand attack.
Engineered with a carbon-reinforced neck and a meticulously chambered mahogany body topped with maple, it balances perfectly on a strap while delivering exceptional sustain and resonant acoustic volume. Engaging the push-pull Focus Switch activates a passive boost, instantly fattening your midrange and rolling off harsh highs to push your favorite tube amp into glorious, saturated overdrive
This Revstar Professional features P90-style single-coil pickups with 5-way switching and the Focus Switch boost, with a custom racing tailpiece. Swift Blue
MADE IN JAPAN
Crafted to our highest standards by our master luthiers in Japan, Revstar Professional guitars represent the pinnacle of the new Revstar series.
CHAMBERED BODY WITH ACOUSTIC DESIGN
Revstar Professional guitars feature chambered bodies designed to sculpt tone and reduce weight, with carbon reinforcement in the body and neck to improve vibration transfer.
5-WAY SWITCHING
Positions 2 and 4 slightly delay the opposite pickup for a subtle phase shift that offers a fresh take on classic “in-between” sounds.
FOCUS SWITCH
The push/pull Tone control activates a passive boost with an effect similar to overwound pickups—darker highs, increased mids and lows, and an aggressive character.
PICKUPS
RSS02T offers P90-style single-coils. All pickups are custom designed by Yamaha and use Alnico V magnets for powerful tone.
