Description
The D’Addario 50BAL00 represents a practical evolution in instrument security, integrating the locking mechanism directly into the strap itself. Designed in partnership with Ned Steinberger, the Auto Lock system eliminates the need to install aftermarket strap lock buttons onto your guitar. The strap ends feature a spring-loaded clamp that slides over standard strap buttons and locks securely in place, releasing only when the latch is manually engaged.
Constructed from high-tensile woven nylon with a subtle herringbone pattern, it provides excellent tear resistance and durability. This design is an efficient solution for touring musicians and studio players who require reliable instrument protection without permanently modifying their gear.
Designed for gigging guitarists and bassists who require dependable instrument security and frequent, fast instrument changes. It is particularly suited for players who own multiple vintage or high-end guitars and wish to utilize a locking strap system without replacing the factory strap buttons.
Key Features:
Integrated Auto Lock Mechanism
The strap ends feature built-in, spring-loaded plastic enclosures that lock securely over standard guitar strap buttons. This ensures the instrument remains safely attached during energetic performances without requiring modified hardware installations on the guitar body.
Woven Nylon Construction
Manufactured from high-strength black woven nylon, the strap offers substantial tensile strength and long-term durability. The material allows the strap to slide smoothly over the player’s shoulder, preventing binding or clothing snags during movement.
Quick Length Adjustment
The strap incorporates a standard slider buckle for precise length modifications. This accommodates a wide range of player heights and preferred instrument positions, from high jazz styling to low-slung rock setups.
Hardware-Free Compatibility
By placing the locking mechanism on the strap rather than the guitar, players can use a single strap across multiple instruments equipped with standard factory buttons. This streamlines gig preparation and reduces the overall cost of outfitting a multi-guitar rig.
