Description
The Mahalo MJ2TBRK elevates the Java Series offering into the larger, more resonant concert format. Built for players who require greater fretboard real estate and enhanced acoustic volume, this package revolves around the MJ2TBR concert ukulele in a natural matte finish. It features a distinct slotted headstock design equipped with vintage-style tuners.
Paired with the comprehensive Mahalo Essentials Accessory Pack, this setup supplies the user with essential maintenance tools, including a digital clip-on tuner and spare Aquila strings, ensuring reliable performance in practice and rehearsal settings.
This instrument targets adult beginners, progressing students, and players who find the standard soprano scale too cramped. The concert sizing provides wider fret spacing and a richer lower-midrange response.
Key Features:
Tonewoods & Construction
Constructed as a concert-sized body, this model generates increased acoustic volume and low-end response compared to smaller counterparts. It is finished in a smooth natural matte that ensures tactile comfort during play.
Ergonomics, Neck Profile & Playability
The extended concert scale length introduces wider fret spacing, drastically improving playability for users with larger hands or those executing complex chord voicings. The satin neck finish promotes fast, unhindered hand movement.
Electronics, Pickups & Hardware
This model is upgraded with a slotted headstock housing open-gear tuning machines with white/pearl-style buttons, offering precise tuning adjustments and a premium aesthetic. It includes a spare set of Aquila Super Nylgut strings to maintain tuning stability and robust tonal output.
Connectivity & Practical Workflow
To facilitate immediate integration into a practice workflow, the package includes the Mahalo Essentials Accessory Pack. This provides a clip-on tuner, three playing picks, a sticker sheet, a 5-language user guide, and access to downloadable educational media.
